How long have you trained with Coach B?
Since July 2025!
Why did you start training?
I wanted to have some help increasing my lifts. I had been weightlifting by myself prior but was afraid as I'm getting injured as I started increasing to heavier weights.
What goals have you reached during your time training?
I got pregnant a little bit after starting training with B, so my goal was actually to maintain my physical fitness because I didn't want to lose all my progress I had made prior to and during the short amount of time I had started personal training. I was able to continue lifting all the way to 39 weeks of pregnancy!
What are you most proud of in your fitness journey?
Being able to consistently lift pretty much every week since I started in July 2025, only really missing a few sessions here and there due to vacation or work travel. Even with pregnancy, B helped me continue to push all the way to 39 weeks of pregnancy. I really believe that the strength training she helped me pursue throughout those weeks of pregnancy helped me feel strong and confident during labor and the delivery of my baby. Now postpartum, I feel like I'm recovering really well and feeling strong, and I'm excited to get back to the gym to workout with all the badass women in the group training crew!
How would you describe Coach B's training style?
B is really good at reading her clients and understanding when she needs to make adjustments and when she needs to push them. I found her to give just the right amount of encouragement and support without being too overbearing, and she knows when she needs to give tough love to help push you towards achieving your goals.
Do you have any advice for someone looking to start strength training?
Having the support of others is super helpful for motivation, especially on days where you don't want to show up and lift some heavy weights. Knowing that you have your lifting friends there at the gym was a really good way to get me to show up because I knew I had a crew that would cheer me on.
